The stages of menopause

Transition Age is only one of several stages of reproductive life of women. Throughout the menopausal transition was divided into different stages known as early menopause, premenopause, perimenopause, menopause and postmenopause.

Early menopause

Early menopause is menopause that occurs before the age of 40, or a natural or induced by medical or surgical. Women who enter menopause early symptoms are similar to those of natural menopause, like hot flashes, emotional problems, vaginal dryness and decreased sexual. But for some women with early menopause, these symptoms are severe. Even women who have early menopause tend to get weaker bones faster than women who enter menopause later in life. Early menopause can occur for the following reasons:

Chromosomal defects: Defects in chromosomes can cause premature menopause. For example, women with Turner syndrome are born without a second X chromosome or born without working on chromosome X. In this case, the ovaries usually do not represent the results of early menopause.

Genetics: Women with a family history of early menopause are more likely to be premature menopause itself.

Autoimmune disease: immune system, which normally fights off diseases, mistakenly attacks part of the reproductive system, causing the shut down and ovaries stop producing female hormones. Thyroid disease and rheumatoid arthritis are diseases in which this can happen.
